Trunk pops with the handle located above the license plate. Can't see it.

These are being done by me at school....Acoustic Edge Institute....Stereoschool.com

Next we have a fiberglass trim panel...This is what you do when you have subs or something in the trunk and you want to cover it all up but show only the speakers or the tv's and what not. Anyway...here you go. We had one day to do it. Me and three other guys. So it was very fast paced. We already had the frame work done and the fleece going on when I started taking photos.

I could elaborate on the steps but I guess unless you are familiar with a router and the different bits, it would just not make any since at all. So I will leave it up to people to just ask questions.

We popped off the panel and carpeted the sides with black carpet.

Oh whose car is that in the background?

Posted Image

We decided to do flat black on everything.

Acrylic insert in the top with a pic of a donk....Vinyl cover on the side speaker inserts, and speaker grill cloth on the round one.

Here are some door panels done on the H2 at the school by the instructor himself. Front and back were done. They are not painted yet, but believe me when they are I will post up pics.

Ok now here is our foam project, It won't be done until tomorrow or the next day.

First we have our template which we trace out with a pin router and cut it out. We used 1/2 inch mdf.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Next we put it together. Two feet, the main piece, and the trim ring in the center around the hole.

Posted Image

We then built a small box out of 1/4 inch mdf for the insert.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

We then installed a piece of 1/2 inch tubing for any wires in the future.

Next we stapled some thin particle board on each side of the project to have something to be a wall for the foam...You will see.
