Dozier
Yep the hose is for wires and such if you so choose to do anything real technical on it. I will have finished pics of the foam project and acrylic inserted, also the steering wheel and the box with acrylic inserts all tonight. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works

Dozier
Ok..Now for the steering wheel build. First thing, cut out the 1/2 inch mdf templates and flush trim them on the router. This is the size of the acrylic insert. Next cut out a piece of plexi glass to the shape of the inside of the steering wheel. Then duraglass up to the piece of wood that is cut out to be the template for your acrylic insert. Next pre drill and counter sink three holes in the middle of the steering wheel and attach the acrylic center piece for flush trimming. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
Dozier
After flush trimming, it should look like this...smooth. Aside from the paper on the acrylic which is still on it until we are finished. Now take the steering wheel apart. On to the fun part. Vinyl. Now put together without the acrylic insert. Almost done. You can take off the paper backing on the acrylic now. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
Dozier
I have cut out a piece of acrylic to match the hole in the steering wheel. I will be using perma-trens to stick a picture to the back side. All done. Here are some good color combinations you can go with. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
