BrettAlthoff Posted April 26, 2013 Report Posted April 26, 2013 Need an idea of where to start, my sytem isnt anything too serious so im looking for a cheaper type one? ive looked at the mechman ones there good and everything but i dont really need that much for my system, any other high output alternators out there i can look into? only doing about 1300 watt rms but im looking to get a 4 ch amp for all my speakers, and probably upgrade my battery. drive a 2000 oldsmboile alero as well.. just looking for some input of where to look or start... 2000 oldsmobile alero (2) rockford fosgates 4x6's (2) rockford fosgates 6x9's (1) hifonics zrx2000.10 (2) re adudio se-x d2 12" big three

What about optimas? Their yellow and red tops? I've heard of people using them before buy not so much anymore. I like them because they are inexpensive, but are they any good?? However, if your going to be running allot of amps/ only a couple amps with lets say 5k total, it's going to take a couple more optima's versus getting some other brands like XS, Kinetik, and etc. Just depends on the system. ^Vehicle log to come soon for this.^

Octavio Palencia Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Duralast Platinums are a real inexpensive battery. They should be okay for 1300, considering I had one running 2000 watts + speaker amp. I would try to go for at least a Yellowtop.
