carsonbakr
Bought an SA-15 for my Ford Explorer. I've been looking around the internet and no one really has an enclosure design for just one SA-15. I'm going to be pushing about 1k and want it to be tuned at 32 hz for rap. Can anyone help with an enclosure design because I got turned down by RAM designs (due to lack of time he has) and I really don't want to have to pay $60 for a design by Pete. Thanks. But that might not have to do with the port specs, idk Quote 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows
Nightshade
I have built several enclosures for Sundown subs but never the sa15s. I have mostly done Nightshades and usually go with 3 cubes after displacement with about 8.5 sqin of port per cuft. For the sa I would do 2.5 cubes with 2 4" aeroports tuned to 35-37 hz. This will give you 10 sqin per cuft. Also the reason for tuning higher will keep the sub safe. I have broken the triple joint on the sa12s by tuning low. The sub is not made to move to to the extent that 32hz demands with a lot of power. This will save you some trouble in the long run.
