wire from alt to rear batt vs front batt to rear batt

Recommended Posts

I like both....

A run to the front, and a run to the rear bank....

Pick your poison ....

funny you say that cause this post made me think about that, one to front bat then back to back batt bank then amp other run straight back to rear batt bank then amp, not sure if any benefits though

There may not be any true ones.... If your connections are legit, a run to the front bat, and then from there to the rear should suffice... That said,... If im running a 375 amp alt, i want it doing every damn bit it can,... NO restrictions... NONE.....

IIRC They recommend alt to front bat to rear bat.... because most cars have a 175 amp factory anl fuse between the front bat and alt. Which is refereed to as the mega/maxi fuse. Usually located on the side of the fuse box.
