SnowDrifter
I already have a sealed one so should i drill a hole in the side? No. That would just make it a leaky sealed box and have it sound like poo. There's more to it then just cutting a hole in the side. You need to build a new box ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
98GCLimited
If you can fit it go ported. Kicker recommends 1.5 minimum - 6 maximum cubes sealed 3 minimum - 6 maximum cubes ported So I guess 2.5 cubes would be OK sealed but you wont get the max output from that woofer. Depends on your space I guess. What kind of vehicle? Is it going in a trunk? Back of ext cab pickup? SUV cargo area?

HypnotizedMind 91666
Is a ported box just a hole? or is it a chamber of the box?apply that answer to your box.Just keep the sealed for a bit,in the mean time, study box porting, and try your hand at it later (or pay someone else, which isn't recommended) in a million, trillion, kabillion years,i would never play that song in my ride. I don't care if its clipped or not LOL. I feel like my nads got clipped after playing this for 15 seconds just to see what it was LOL. No thanks bro. Not into it.
