I will be doing a big build in it and still quite unfamilar with the vehical. anyways i had a qustion on the big three and a h/o alternator. is it safe to run 1/0 charge wire on this without any problems and also when i get a h/o alt is there any extra mods i will need to do? on my honda i had to do an eld by pass. Kranny Posted May 15, 2013 Report Share Posted May 15, 2013 the ELD thing is only for hondas. 1/0 will be fine for the big 3. i had 1/0 (stock was like 8 gauge on my corolla) and it was fine for years. extra mods for the alt. well depending on the vehicle you may have to do a little extra something, but usually its plug and play.
