SlamminBeats
How do some of you trim out the bottom? Im going to trace my card board template onto mdf and screw it to bottom of box. I plan on gluing a foam noodle cut down so it hugs each side of the trim piece (front and back) then carpet the whole piece and screw it to the box. Will this work? Any other ideas? Kevin M
On the two walls I built I used a piece of mdf that spanned the length of the interior and screwed that directly into the bottom of the wall and then covered it with carpet. You may be able to see the lip in the picture. I used some measurements and a piece of cardboard to make a template so it fit snug around the transmission hub and the sheetmetal risings in the corners. The area underneath the wall and behind the trim piece was filled with foam similar to what you see. Worked out real well. fecupe2001
i did it guetto style when i had the sony xplods subs in my explorer, didn´t have any cardboard so i used some paper, yes, paper as a template, the used some shitty 1/2" playwood and that was it, didn`t carpet it or anything because it was a temporary build but the trim pannels worked awesome, 151 @ 46 hz with 4 50$ subs and a 3K wired at 1 ohm on a single battery I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. SlamminBeats
OK its not spray foam though... its like a pool noodle but it wraps around each side of the trim pieces so when you jam it on place it should seal its self
