Dual Fi SP4 18's, Use of Passive Radiators

I'm planning a new box which will have 2 Fi SP4 18's in it. I'm very tight on space and was even considering using a sealed box but I'm really not sure I want to do that. I was looking on the PSI Website and happen to come across passive radiators. How well do they work compared to ported systems?

i wouldn't have much weight with my opinion as i've never used them or heard them but from what i've seen they're great when you're tight on space.

plus they look cool when they move differently then the woofers.

I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro

PR's in today's high power, high xmax systems is tough.

The rule of thumb with PR's is that you need at least double the displacement of your subs. So... you'd need (4) 18" passive radiators with xmax similar to your subs. OR (2) 18" PR's with twice the xmax of your subs.

If you don't have the displacement, the PR's will get beat to death and will unload badly. PR's are awesome. They're just very difficult to implement with larger setups.
