Most of that cost comes from tools, experience and time. Materials would probably only cost him $100- $125. I would shop around first and do your research on a builder. Who knows, he just may be the best box builder in town. A box that big may be a big undertaking for a novice. For a seasoned box builder something like that may take 1-2 days where it may take you several days. Hope this helps.
