hello i have a 05 scion tc and wanting to build a sound system from ground up. i need help designing a system that would have great sound quality. not planning on doing db drags or competing at sound offs. i have a hifonics brz2400.1 amp i plan on putting on subs. my car is wired with stinger 0 gauge hpm wire. i have jl c2 650 components in front doors, pioneer 6.5s in rear panels, 2 kicker comp r 10s 2013 models. pioneer 2300dvd unit up front. i can remove all this from setup. please feel free to message me. i dont have anything to offer in payment for your help as this will not be over night build i am not rich but thank you for your time and hopefully can find a few friends along my travels.

First off Welcome to the Forums. 2nd, I am doing a complete rebuild of my truck just for a system so I consider that a ground up install. I assume you mean starting fromm nothing to achieve a good quality system in your car? Correct? If thats the case, then start off with the expensive stuff first so that way its out of the way. Start with upgrading your Big 3, your under the hood battery, and depending on what you're after possibly your alt or adding a 2nd battery or more. So what exactly would you like to do in your car?

i have the big 3 already but i'm thinking the gauge is too small that it is done in. what gauge should i upgrade it? also what is a good battery for under the hood i have just ac delco one now. thank you for the welcome i guess i kinda jumped right in lol. i am considering getting 2 sundown 12s ive read good things on them and they are budget friendly. i concern mainly deals with the space i have for the build. could i run 2 sundowns off my hifonics amp. im not sure how to link pictures but i have ideal how i would want it to be but not sure of it would be adequate air space for them.

this is my ideal so far or should i say this is what im working with. i can do a wall behind front seats with larger subs or do an elegant layout in the cargo or rear area. i will be competing in local car shows and would like a decent build to bring. i am putting atleast 6 months build time into this for start and then go from there. please let me know opinions on wall vs the trunk build. on wall build im thinking 2 15s towards top of wall and amps mounted below with battery in compartment under wall. for trunk build im thinking 2 12s 1 on each side directly behind rear seats facing rearwards with slight angle towards glass in custom fiberglass enclosures amps in spare tire compartment with plexiglass cover over amp rack battery in spare compartment also.

2. Good batteries would be XS, Kinetic, Duracell, Deka

3. What series of Sundown 12s were you thinking?

4. Which Hifonics Amp do you have?

Now as for what you want, you have to decide that on your own. Whether you want a wall or trunk build is up to you. Do you have all the tools and know how to do what you're wanting to do or is someone going to do it for you? Also, 2 15s in a wall is going to sound completely different than 2 12s in the trunk!! Trunk builds are usually quieter when facing the trunk area, can get loud if you face them towards the passenger compartment and seal off the trunk. Of course walls are always going to be loud..So it is up to you and you only to decide what you want to do. I personally would never do a wall in my everyday car.

Someone will be helping me with the build. i am going for the trunk build now since it seems to be within my limits. i will be on later i have to take my wife to have surgery today.

I would never get a sundown SA for a SQ build. But looks like your like me, not going for total SQ, just for a good sounding one. SA's get loud, but they have no tonal quality what so ever..l ive heard many different setups with SA's so i know what im talking about. They arent very musically based, more for loud for cheap.

Do big 3 and your tuns of power wire with 0 gauge. I repeat , TRUE OFC AWG 0 GAUGE.

XS and deka are the best for batteries.

What door speaker amp are you running?

You need to look up HunterJohnson on this forum and view his build in his Scion tC. He did 2 Sundown Z's in a beautiful box in the cargo area and it came out great. He could help you and just looking through ALL of his pics in the build will help you get some ideas. I'll look for the build so I can edit my post with a link to his build.

what would you recommend for sub brand i am open to all suggestions and i will do the research for myself i want to go sundown,fi bl,dd or something other then kicker lol not saying kickers dont get down.... they just are weak they cant handle the heat when volume gets turned up.would 1 fi bl 12 with all upgrades to it be enough bang to suffice my hunger haha. and yes i dont want a total soft sq build ...i want it to unleash hell at high volumes and withstand daily driving playing
