Homemade Super-Neo Woofer: THE CHEVELLE RESTORATION IS DONE, dampener recommendations??

Is there a reason you have the leads on the BOTTOM of the spoder pack?

Soldering them can be tricky as well.

As far as gluing.. Place the coil in a jig, or place spider where ever you need it, then glue the bottom side to coil. Then put glue on the spider lip ( where the OD of spider meets the other one) an also where the ID of spider meets the other spider. Keep stacking spiders till you get however many on your using, THEN use your acctivator.

Bassiclly youll have glue around coil And then on the outer edge where spider meets basket. Once those glue joints are done, then you can put a healthy amount of glue on the bottom of spider pack. Then once you get the cone on, you can use a healthey amount where spiders/coil/cone meet (tripple joint)

Hope that made sence

No definite reason but you don't usually see the leads on the finished product, they usually have them in between the spiders don't they? If it made more sense I could have them on top.

basically put on 1 spider, glue the inner ring to the coil, then glue the outer ring, place the next spider on with glue on it's inner ring too, repeat?

So when thats done and I have the pack, do I only need to glue the bottom one only? so I'll have 4 spiders in one stack, but I only glue down the bottom one to the basket? Or do I need to sandwich them with something to hold them down?

The spider leads to not get soldered to the coil leaded until all of the spiders are installed and glued down. Send me a PM and I will give you my number to better explain it.

still got your # from the amp sale

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

Leads are either ontop of spiders or between them ( when spaced) How would you attach the leads to the terminals of they were under the spiders?

1. Place first spider on coil. Glue BOTTOM side and acctivate it.

2. Put glue on coil where next spider will sit. Also put glue on the outer edge ( Opposite side that will be glued to basket

3. Repeat that till you have all 4 spiders on.

4. Clamp the outter edge, the inner edge will be tight from being "forced" into place on the coil

5. Acctivate the glue joints now. If you do it before the glue will be dry and spiders wont "interlock"

The once cone is on, you can add more glue at the tripple joint.

Well mine could be under because there's 2 levels of spiders. To increase linearity I have 1 set of 4 9" linear roll spiders, then I have the single 10" spider with the quad leads, so if I wanted to I could run them under and then out through holes in the step downs. But I'll just use the holes the basket came with to run the 8ga direct leads.

Where should I get some real nice 8 ga? SkyHigh doesn't have any on their ebay sight.

Do I need to apply a lot of activator ir will it work with just a few good sprays all around?

That would look hideous for direct leads. Better to use power wire 8awg ofc to have a clean jacket.
