flood77 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Report Posted May 25, 2013 Arent you the guy with the four sealed boxes with pvc in them? Your boxes are kinda small and without actually seeing the box there is no real way to know what volume it is per sub, plus you dont have enough port area at all. That noise is probably that pvc rattling around in the box, did you check to make sure they are glue together good? well they are glued realy well but i never thought about them being right next to the side wall and that they might be rattling againts it....
flood77 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Report Posted May 25, 2013 could be the baffle vibrating. i only see a single baffle with no internal bracing. all seperate chambers

Joe X Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 It's the area of the hole so 3.1416 x 2^2 = 12.56 square inches which is kind of low specially for a non flared port. Anyways you have separate chambers you could test one sub at a time in each chamber.
flood77 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Report Posted May 25, 2013 ok i took a sub out and measured inside diameter here it is 21 1/4 x 17 3/4 x 8 1/2 whats my air space without sub and port im comming up with 1.855
Guest Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 could be the baffle vibrating. i only see a single baffle with no internal bracing. all seperate chambers if you put your hand on the baffle with the woofers playing full tilt, and the baffle is vibrating, then you need bracing.
Joe X Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 That is 1.85 cubes gross, 1.58 net, 33.6 Hz tuning with the 16" you have listed for port length. I can't understand how that port fits if your internal depth is only 8 1/2".

Jessica Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 What Kranny is saying is how is the front baffle attached to the enclosures. I understand that the sides of the boxes are acting like bracing, but how is it attached, also, how is the rar of the box attached. Is it screwed just around the outside, glued on? That would be a good thing to check like Kranny said, front and rear surfaces for vibrations. And of course, you could play one sub at a time even though it would probably take a while to do that.
