Amp problems with two 12" Alpine type R (4ohms)

Hello SMD community, I am having just a LITTLE bit of a problem shopping for my new system. I am soon going to buy two 12inch Alpine type R subwoofers, 4ohms. But I am having a bit of some trouble finding a perfect amp for these two subs. I am worried I am going to pick an amp that will not supply enough power for its true bumping potential, but I am also worried as well I will buy an amp too powerful which will basicially pop them. My first two choices in mind are

MRX-M110 - Alpine Monoblock 1100W RMS X-Power Amplifier

OR

MRX-M240 Mono Power Amplifier

Are any of these amps good choices? Am I completely out of the ball park here?

ITT; What would the SMD community reccomend for the perfect amplifier to perfectly bump two type Rs without any problems, overheating, or popping.

alpine amps are basic but get the job done. buy something more powerful and back the gain down. better to have head room with clean power then a distorted output to the subs because you want them to play louder. make sure your electrical is built up. at least a big 3.

oh and im a fan of hifonics amps for a good quality CEA-2006 compliant amp on a budget. getting ready to buy the BRX2000.1D

I would choose a alpine amp over hifonics any day..and CEA compliant doesn't mean much any more MY Digital design amps are not CEA certified .but are way better quality ..anyways op read much you can before buying.type R are nice subs .just make sure you know what amp you want for coils match to amp.

Would that BRX2000 do work on some type r's? I am just so lost in what to pick because there are just too many damn amps out there. I have no idea which one is the right one for the type r's

the hifonics brutes line is very decent for the money. i like to look for CEA compliant amps when im shopping for lower end amps, of coure DD and all the other high end brands put out rated and more... they also come with a hefty price tag, so i would expect them to do rated for the money. id rather buy hifonics over boss audio haha

hey man, do some research, the BRX2000 will work fine. check out the hifonics amps and see if they have something in your price range, but seeing as your looking at alpine im sure u'll have money for hifonics. ask just about anyone who use hifonics brutus amps, most of them do over rated power by 50-100 watts. they have a good build quality making them good for a budget amp. when choosing an amp consider getting something with head room, so you can account for voltage drop, box rise, wire resistance, ground resistance, any factor that will lower the output of the amp. thats a pretty big amp to be running on stock electrical. hifonics makes smaller wattage amps you can get, go tohttp://www.sonicelectronix.com and look for amps there, only reason i say use that website is because the layout is very good and so is the information. stay away from brands like boss, pyle, lower end lanzar stuff like that. things that are too good to be true, if you see a boss 5k selling for $200 DON'T get it. its all common sense when you think about it. them alpines aren't cheap subs so don't power them with a cheap amp. and honestly the alpine amps are pretty good, so if you can afford it then go for it.

Ive got the 12d2's (two @ 2ohm) on a rockford t1500 in a ported enclosure and they rock! I just upgraded from a kicker dx1000.1 . T1500 would be awesome for those @ 1ohm
