ncc74656 Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 i have an eclipse 34320 that is acting strange. i have 2 10" crachendos and 2 alpine tweets hooked to it. while listening to music it at times will drop volume a few DB and then raise it back up again. maybe 2 or 3 seconds at a time. it also will have popping sounds every now and then, often when its higher vocal songs and mostly from the tweets. this popping will go away on its own and is most of the time separated by 30 seconds or so and its one pop at a time. however it will have horrendous distortion some times and the popping will be rapid secession. i also do not have any right audio, the amp is playing both left and right channels from the left Chanel input. in all of these situations turning the volume up or down often fixes it for the time being.where should i start in fixing this? nothing, gutted

ncc74656 Posted May 30, 2013 Author Report Posted May 30, 2013 im going to start off with checking out the RCA and selectors, perhaps they are loose or there is a bad trace some where, the amp is rather old after all. i might just go outside and dig into it now. i hope its a simple fix as i bought the amp not long ago for 100 bucks. nothing, gutted
ncc74656 Posted June 2, 2013 Author Report Posted June 2, 2013 http://imgur.com/a/gQSSy pictures of the amp, it all looks good but im about to start testing. i wounder if all my issues might just be from the worn out dials and controlls on the end of hte amp nothing, gutted
ncc74656 Posted June 2, 2013 Author Report Posted June 2, 2013 the left channel gets more power than the right, its just louder. the high pass filter is non functional but thats kind of a moot point i suppose as i have an external xover. there is a thin grounding wire that goes from teh PCB to the case. it is chared and looks as if its been on fire. its in two pieces and very crumbly. the right Chanel RCA port is not solid, by moving the RCA cable around it will distort and break up. where can i find a replacement RCA port to solder onto the PCB for this amp? nothing else looks damaged on the amp. nothing, gutted
justin0943 Posted June 2, 2013 Report Posted June 2, 2013 whats up with on the 2nd pic bottom right it looks like a wire for a board ground but it melted 02 dodge ram 1500 reg cab 3rd gen 2 sundown sd-2 d4 soundstream rub1.2500 amp all sky high car audio-fuse,fuse holder, wire, ring lugs and rca flex tech box design by Joe X supension-mcgaughys 2in drop spindal ,western chassis 6in flip kit, buddy custom c-notch 04 5.7l hemi motor swap and made it an slt eletric everthing youtube channel-http://www.youtube.c...43?feature=mhee http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190882-02-dodge-ram-1500-3rd-gen/
