Bandpass can definitely be more efficient, but I don't know if it would be enough to counter the extra sub. I am very interested in a 4th order bandpass enclosure for my 2 Sundown SA 8-D4's. I have a Diamond Audio D1000.1 running them. Any suggestions or designs? ncochran Posted June 7, 2013 Report Share Posted June 7, 2013 There is tons of good advice here. But no one will likely design a 4th for free. It is too hard to say exactly what will/won't work. Ported boxes are easy, bandpass seems to be trial and error unless you REALLY know what you are doing. I am in the process of designing one myself and it is somewhat difficult. I have ran so many sets of numbers through Torres, Bassbox Pro, and RE box that I finally reached the point where I am just going to build it and see what happens lol. Also, 4th orders are larger (generally) than a normal ported enclosure. A ported box for my subs would be somewhere around 4 cubes.
