alaskanzx5
so i recently noticed that taking out my back seat to build a nice size box with a changle slot port would put me in with some of the big hitters (150+). ill be using 2 rf t2d415 and a t1500.1bdcp to start with, really considering upgrading to a 2500.1bdcp. ive been throwing some numbers around on torres and from what im getting is with the box staying in the cargo area of my 2000 ford focus hatchback i could get 5.2-5.4cuft tuned to 40-43hz with close to 90" of port. now i know i wouldnt do much better then a 147 somewhere around 45-50hz with that on a t1500.1bdcp. maybe get lucky and get to 150 with a 2500.1bdcp. now i prefer lows but would like to still get decent scores. atleast in the upper 40s. i dont see that happening with keeping the back seat but then i cant place in the higher classes it would put me in. a wall with around 7 cuft and 100" of port might get me closer to that 150 with the t1500.1bdcp. im almost certain i could do better then a 150db with the 2500.1bdcp walled. would take work and i would be in a fairly big box while overpowering. so the question is should i build a 5.3cuft box tuned to 43hz with 80" of port all in the trunk so i can stay in the lower classes and hope to place, or do i wall it and get a 2500.1bdcp and shoot for 150-153? what would you do? A. wall a 2 door hatchback with 2 15s on a 2500.1 tuned to mid to high 30s in a 7cuft box with roughly 100" of port? this would leave roughly 40" w x 40" h x 30" d of space behind the wall if i do the wall right at the back of the front seats. B. keep it in the cargo area on 2 15s on a 2500.1 tuned to 43hz in a 5.3 cuft box with roughly 80" of port? maybe enough room for a extra batt C. do a 6 cuft box tuned to 35hz daily 40hz for comps on a 2500.1bdcp with roughly 90" of port and loose the back seat putting you in a higher class? plenty of room for extra batta but nothing to usable of space. of course i will only have a single t1500.1bdcp for a while. made a promise not to buy more for a little while. so sometime next summer i should have a 2500.1bdcp. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
