dugjt88 Posted June 7, 2013 Report Share Posted June 7, 2013 I wouldn't run any hifonics amp(newer ones at 1 ohm). They have a tendency to fry. I've had a few bxi2008ds(and 2010d) that have given in at 1ohm. They can do it. Just doesn't seem to last long though. They were set with an oscope and I'm running a bxi2008d set with my DD1 now at 2ohm all day. Just a heads up on my experiences with them at 1ohm. black05alti Posted June 7, 2013 Report Share Posted June 7, 2013 Recommended would be fine, you may shrink the internal airspace a little since you'll be overpowering them.
