ncc74656
you should use dowel rods between the subs and port. will be about 8.19 cubic with the bracing nothing, gutted
Joe X
Here is a suggestion: Enclosure Specifications:Fb = 32.2 HzVb = 8.2 ft^3External Height = 21 inExternal Width = 35 inExternal Depth = 31 inPort Width = 28 inPort Height = 4 1/8 inCut Sheet List:* All Dimensions in Inches.* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.External Enclosure Parts:2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 35 x 31Left & Right Sides = 29 1/2 x 18 3/4Front & Back = 35 x 18 3/4L Port Internal Assembly Parts:Front to Back = 24 1/2 x 29 1/2Port Left Side Assembly:24 1/2 x 4 1/8Port Right Side Assembly:24 1/2 x 4 1/8 Assembly guide (generic dimensions): Important notes:- All boxes built outside the vehicle need to fit in their way in not just have the right dimensions.- This box should be operated around subwoofer(s) rated power. If that´s not the case, let me know.- The port needs 4 1/8" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested. Joe X
Yes those can be done 1 1/2" no problem, what I wanted to make clear is that you need free 4 1/4" of space to the rear gate, if you don't then the above will need a small fix.

There will be around 4 1/2 of space between the rear gate so is it just (2) 1.5 dowels or is it 3 and what would be the height of the dowels? Also the measurements of the left and right port are 24 1/2x 4 1/8 but what about the middle is it the same ? sorry im a noob
Joe X
18 3/4" 2x4 lumber on the back panel, two 13 7/8" wooden dowel rods and for the port brace, that is the same height as the sides (4 1/8") but not as long as you can see on the sketch, and that is for aesthetical reasons so it doesn't look like two ports, just make sure the top down braces are right above that port brace.
