Amalan
k well i see where you may have gotten confused its refering to 3rd generations and 4th generation of ipods thats what the 3G and 4G at the bottom means not 3gb and 4gb do not DO NOT buy 2 4gb nanos thats $400 down the drain instead since you have such an extensive music collection id recommend a 80gb ipod video http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebO...BC1A0&nclm=iPod that will hold alot more songs and cheaper
AlpineTypeR06
Where does it say that it only accepts up to 4GB iPods? I think you're probably talking about a 4th GENERATION iPod, in other words, an iPod with a "click wheel". Although it should accept any iPod w/ a dock connector. I would read the last review on the link that you submitted BTW. CUT BUDDY
Yea I already knew I can get a bigger one and cheaper than 2- 4gb I just thought thats all it would take but now I see what ur talking about. I saw a 80gb for around $300-350. I saw that last review saying its kinda difficult to scroll through the songs but at the sametime I know that CD-Changer is gonna skip. I wanted the 6 disc Kenwood changer. It says in its reviews that it rarely skips even if u ride over a real hard bump but with about 10k rms going through the truck Im sure it will. Thats why I was going with the pod and plus I get tired of hauling a gang of CDz around. Quote TEAM MechMan Alternators
CUT BUDDY
even though they say it doesnt let u go through the entire library, where Im going to mount it which will be on the arm rest between the driver's and passenger's seat right beside my leg. So it want be a hassle to get find what I want right off the ipod or when I download different songs I can arrange them in the library as artists. And just put all the songs that I have for a certain artist under there name so i would just look for the artist and then go to a specific song if its possible. IDK Ive never owned one so I'll have to see Quote TEAM MechMan Alternators
Amalan
i dont know what that guy was talking about he was saying you cant go thru the entire library thru your headunit but no matter what youll be able to scroll thru the entire library thru the ipod and i dont think that guys review was accurate at all so just ignore it. go with the 80gb ipod video from the apple store. its only $350 brand new so you save $50 from buying 2 nanos and get 72more gb lol
meade916
NewCents: only real problem might be that most decks (bof'e my Alpine and Pioneer) once you plug the cord in, you cant scroll thru with the wheel untill unplugged. It just says "alpine" or "pioneer" on the screen. Now if your using the line out jack, then you should be able too......im talking the special interface cord. Unless your using a deck that was built around an Ipod (real time) then it is a pain in the ass to find songs... On the pioneer i found a way around that center, center, up at just the right time gives you acess to the wheel while plugged in Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
