The sub is an 08 model of the L5 10 and is a Dual 2. Im gonna wire it down to 1 ohm and the sub handles 900 watts peak. I've kinda looked around at some prices and I know for true power you are expected to pay almost $1 a watt. My spending limit is about $300 for an amp and I have a couple in mind but open to more choices. I was looking at the HiFonics BRX5000.5 that way I can wire up highs too, Hifonics BRX1100.1D, or Power Acoustik BAMF amps. I know those aren't top dollar amps but Im also not putting together a top dollar system. Just working with what I picked up for a good deal. Got the sub for $30 lol. Most of the PPI line is a good intro amp and much better then the Power Acoustik stuff even though it is made by the same company. Power Acoustik is there lower line. Even walmart sells them. I think I may go with the Soundstream amp or my friend works at an audio shop close by and has an entry level Soundstorm amp that is "rated" at 1500 watts and I can get it for $100 and have a 1 year warranty. You can find low end amps for super cheap, Just look for a Hifonics, Maybe a Bamf seen em going for 100 on CL just test before you buy. I personally am a kicker hater xD but recently did a build 1 10" L7 being powered by a PowerBass 2400.1 hit pretty decent deff alot of flex.
