ncochran Posted June 6, 2013 Report Share Posted June 6, 2013 I don't know what under the seat of a jeep is like but you could possibly raise amp 2-3 inches off the floor and surround the sides with plexi,metal, or even sealed wood while leaving the top open. Kinda make a waterproof tray with no top, and the seat would protect the top. Heat would still escape and it would be protected from water. I don't have the tools/time to draw it, but it should be simple if there is room. He was running a single SA-8 with one of the smaller mono blocks, and had his highs hooked to the 4 channel. They were small, looked clean, and sounded decent. This will be the first time owning a TJ so I don't know how much it will get wet, but I assume that it will get wet by rain. I plan to have the top down a lot during this summer. I would follow what that person did to their Jeep but I want to be able to off road it while having passengers also. That's the smallest wire they carry for power and ground wire.
