Best for hairtricks port wise?

Recommended Posts

the amount of port area needed is dependant on how much air the subs can move. hair tricks dont have to have a huge port but if you have subs that can move a lot of air with small ports then you can be holding the subs back. the more port velocity the faster the air is moving but if you have subs that can move a lot of air then a small port can create to much port velocity. so in turn have a lot of cone area means a lot of air being moved by the subs. cant go to small on port area.

only building, testing and repeating can you find the right amount of port area to box volume with x subs to creat b reaction.

the usefull info from the answers here imo is that you need power and cone area to move the air and enough port area to allow the air to move effectively. just not to much port area or else you lose port velocity. to much port velocity and you have a bad sounding setup.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
