pontformulalt1 Posted June 12, 2013 Report Share Posted June 12, 2013 I have 2 l7 15's and 2 l7 12's in a hatchback trans am..I know dont mix and match sub sizes..but both boxes where pre- fab boxes..both boxes are sealed..I pulled a 148.9 on the kick and 148.7 on the dash..I rebuilt the 15 box from a pre-fab 2.5 per side to a 3.1 per side homemade box with bracing out of 1" m.d.f. fully sealed with bolt term....I can see a big loss in db and sound any thoughts???? ...I will go ported after slamology Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And you built to the smallest reommmended size for those subs and how much port did you give them and what did you tune to? If I had to guess the smaller box peaked closer to you vehicles peak.
