Hey guys, So I was an idiot and didn't wire my subs correctly. They're 2 dual 1 sundown Zv3.

I attempted to wire them in series but accidentally flip flopped a positive and negative. Maybe a minute of turning up the volume to trying and figure out the problem and BAM! Sparks shoot out of one of the coil of one of the subs and my AB 750.1 pops into protect.(amp is fine, they have good protection)

After some research, I figure out all the could are good except for one coil on one sub.

What I did was wire the good coil of the bad sub (no mechanical noise when moving come up and down) to a coil of the good sub in series for a 2 ohm load on my American bass.

My question to you guys is will this cause any problems with my amp? I'm not worried about the subs because I will only have it this way for a month or so until I can afford recones. I'm Just worried about it causing any kind of damage to my amp by playing a sub that has damage to one coil and only running one coil per woofer?

I don't understand how you couldn't hear it well before the damage happened. That something you should have notice right off.i would recone the sub . Could damage the amp

You are only going to damage your amp if the woofers blow again in a way that shorts out the amp output terminals...the amp's short circuit protection should still keep damage from happening in the event of a short...should
