Is this amp any good.

I am looking at upgrading amps, and I am looking currently at two amps, one being Rockford 500.1 PRIME, the other is the following http://www.crutchfield.com/S-7PWOalqYibo/p_110P20001D/Jensen-POWER-2000-1D.html

What I want to know is are the Jensen amps any good havent heard much about them, I like the Rockford amp, but am looking at the jenson due to the power handling at 1 ohm giving me options to upgrade speakers later. Here are the claimed specs of the jenson

Lol 2000 watt amp puts out 900 watts rms. No thats not a good amp lol. Unless you want 900 rms. Which when it comes down to it I bet doesn't even do that

I can guarantee that 900 RMS is at 1 Ohms unstable. You'd be lucky to get 300-500W at 4 Ohms stable. That thing even cost $200 is even a madly ripoff price. You're better off buying brutus hifonics models.

Im just looking to run 500 Watts RMS, at what ohm rating I don't care. Since Im running 2 DVC rockfords I am able to wire at 1,2,4. Can pick one up new for 130$ but i see your point. just wondering what the best amp is for a stable 500-600 watts. I would assume the rockford 500.1 Prime puts out a little more then 500 just not sure if its what I want or need.

Fuse rating looks positive i owned a Jensen 4 ch back In the day it was a decent cheap amp but pushed would overheat. Crutchfield has a 90 day return policy so if it sucks tell them and return it. The Rockford well the name speaks for itself.

How are you able to run 1,2, or 4 ohms? Is there a new sub out there with swiitchable ohm loads I dunno about????

Sorry but Rockford's Prime series suck. And just because you have DVC subs does not mean you can wire to 1,2, or 4 automatically. If they are d2 you can wire 0.5 or 2. If they are D4 you have 1 or 4. You can't automatically wire to whatever you want load wise.

Why do the primes suck? I love my 1200d prime best amp I have owned yet
