DVC sub, to 2 channel amp, need to half the ohms

ok,

so ive got an inphase 1601 and an alpine Type X 12"

the amps stable at 2ohm 400w x2

the sub has 2 4ohm coils, id like to use both outputs as the amps not bridgeable,

i want to wire the sub in 2ohms! help

basically, i want to run the amp in dual channel, and then wire the sub down from 4 to 2 ohms.

If I understand what you're saying correctly (wire both coils to separate channels) then no you can not do that and get a different ohm load. Each coil would be on its own channel run at 4 ohms (the ohm load of the coil). You Can run both coils to one channel at a 2 ohm load though.

You have one option with that amp. Stereo with each channel running 4ohms giving the rated 300x2. So your sub gets 600 watts. 300 each coil. Better have a DD-1 to make sure the gains are set up right sinch your running it stereo to a DVC sub

just running 1 channel to the sub ie running an rca splitter so both channels get the same source.

You can run just one channel at two ohms if you parallel the voice coils but you will be shorting your amplifier from available power.
