andy.
I've got two sa8v2 d2 that I am in the process of building a down firing enclosure for. I need a little port help, I will have 1.77 cu ft. Before any displacements. That leaves me with 1.61 after subs. I know I can throw a couple 3" aeros I'm there but a slot port is free if there is room. Figured tuning around 35hz and a jl hd1200 for power. There is 6"x39"x13.125" of internal space available, that is taking an average of the different heights. Do I have room for a slot port??? Or go with 2 3" aero ports?
andy.
Guess since it's not a perfect square or rectangle nobody wants to take a stab at it. Lol
Krakin
Anything in a case like your's I would recommend the aeros. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
