damn bro. I'd say recheck ground and power cables. the slightest lil thing with the ground could cause this... I've had it happen with the old pioneer.if all looks good I'd look to replacement :/ sounds horrid man

I once had a problem like this and come to find out the remote wire that came with the wiring harness wasn't working right. The amp would play for about 2 mins then just lose all power. I ended up just testing fuses in the fuse box until I found one that read 0V with the key off and 14.3V with the car on. Once I found that I just took the fuse out, wrapped the remote wire around it, then stuck it back in. I figured since it was a 10A fuse, it would blow long before anything else got damaged. Ever since then I have had no problems, so just something to try if all else fails I guess.

Before you waste your time running the new wire though, I would use your DMM to read the voltage at your amp like Will77530 said above. Test the power wire and the remote wire both (you can use your amps ground wire as the ground for the DMM tester) to make sure they both have the proper voltage, then move on from there.

I don't claim to know how to solve anything, I just practice the basics. There is nothing worse than wasting hours over a problem that should have taken 5 mins. Anything I post and claim to know, I know simply because of a lesson learned from a mistake on my part.
