justin_garrett
Ok so its been awhile since I've been on here and I got a new car. So its time for a new box the car is a 2000 eclipse I was thinking about doing subs and port up since its a hatch back type car. The specs for what I'm thinking about is 16in high 32in wide 22in deep with a top faceing port of 3in wide 20.5in high and 30in long. Does that seem like a good setup for my type of car or should I do something different and the amp I'll be useing is 1500rms at 2ohm' s 1998 neon R.I.P 137.5 db's Youtube videos http://www.youtube.c...tingarrett64067 2000 Eclipse Headunit = pioneer avh-p1400dvd Subwoofers = 2 DC audio lvl 2 12's Amp= Vibe bass 5 1500rms @ 2ohms Single run of 0awg power and ground wire ( Big 3 wire upgrade comeing soon )
Joe X
Guess your subs are dual 2 ohm, your box would be at 1.85 cubes per sub, a little high for their spec and plenty of port area, not saying that you can't but be careful to set your subsonic filter right specially if you are playing low tuned music like rap and such. justin_garrett
Ya there dual 2ohm I was thinking it was a little on the high side so I can shrink it down some for sure. Ya I will be playing some low stuff from decaf and a couple other people 1998 neon R.I.P 137.5 db's Youtube videos http://www.youtube.c...tingarrett64067 2000 Eclipse Headunit = pioneer avh-p1400dvd Subwoofers = 2 DC audio lvl 2 12's Amp= Vibe bass 5 1500rms @ 2ohms Single run of 0awg power and ground wire ( Big 3 wire upgrade comeing soon )
justin_garrett
Ok so I cut it down to 30 wide and left every thing else the same but I'm wondering on how it would act in my car with the subs up and port up as the back part of the hatch is flat like a trunk lid so should I do them subs and port up or both faceing foward or back 1998 neon R.I.P 137.5 db's Youtube videos http://www.youtube.c...tingarrett64067 2000 Eclipse Headunit = pioneer avh-p1400dvd Subwoofers = 2 DC audio lvl 2 12's Amp= Vibe bass 5 1500rms @ 2ohms Single run of 0awg power and ground wire ( Big 3 wire upgrade comeing soon )
