Swampy Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Started to buy an amp (sound stream 4000D I think) and noticed the THD @ rated power was 5.00% If my info is correct, that is no bueno right? Anyone with any advice would be appreciated. I don't claim to know how to solve anything, I just practice the basics. There is nothing worse than wasting hours over a problem that should have taken 5 mins. Anything I post and claim to know, I know simply because of a lesson learned from a mistake on my part.
Bradprobert Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 That does seem fairly high. What type of amp is it? or better yet what amp is it? lol Edit: ninja'd For a bass amp that's not too bad. As long as you don't plan on SQ. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .
TaylorFade Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Yeah... those things are dirty. I think the 6.5k is rated at 10% THD. Yikes.
