bassaddiction
It could be the plastic ring that hold the spiders down making noise if its cracked or loose. im going to take it out again today play it free air and look really close at every thing on it. looked fine last time i checked it but who knows
AMI CUSTOMS
I've noticed that on a hotter day subs are way looser compared to cooler days. So when it's hot the sub could be moving more an moving more air causing something to rattle in the truck or car. My dash did this an I swear it sounded like the subs behind me. Weirdest shit to be honest how sounds bounce around like that. I would turn it up full tilt till you hear it and then start pushing around on things to pin point it. Hopefully it's not coil rub it anything. But if it is recone time lol I would let em loosen some before you tear off in to them full power. this is sad but, im hoping its blown lol psi recone what u guys thing. also any of u think it could be the amp? i hope not The Soundqubed recone is better in my opinion, but what do I know I don't think it is your amp, unless you are clipping? But that still wouldn't be your amp, just possibly your amp setting are incorrect. purplesyrup
I would guess that a part is loose if its popping because the function of the woofer is still working. Its not like your vc is burnt up. Did you see ric006s video about the popping issue? Fixing that sound may be as easy as adding a little glue
purplesyrup
Heres the link look the sub over really well. You say after 2 minutes it starts. Something is oikely getting warm and loose during those 2 minutes http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/171593-dont-always-believe-your-mids-range-speakers-are-blown/
bassaddiction
ok popping noise is a bad way of explaining it, it more like a rubbing/humming noise. btw it got worse
