coinslot1027 Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Tranny tunnel will stay stock. It doesn't have to be raised any. As for the wiring, we have an expert on the LS1 that will be using the stock harnesses and intregrating it all to work perfectly. to correct jon the tranny tunnel will have to be raised, the diff. in stockfloor and tradional is you either cut the center of teh body (tranny tunnel ), or with tradional you cut the by the door sill the you dont have to cut the tunnel you hav emade room for engine and trans by moving the floor up. so to be honest the teh stock floor isn't really a stockfloor its stock seat pans. hope taht clears things up. if not let me know=) thanks for the nice words, we will be working away and sharing progress pics on during the progress. ryan
firefighter5325 Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 the motor looks like it is in with out the tunnel raised. however i did notce by looking at pics that the motor doesnt have a oilpan does the motor it lower in the crossmember and oil pan wont fit or the oilpan sits too low on hte backside of the crossmember iv heard of people using hummer pans for clearence
EpicenterDesigns Posted March 6, 2008 Author Report Posted March 6, 2008 Yeah..... my bad. The tranny tunnel will have to be raised since the body was lowered. When I said that, the motor and tranny had been in so I didn't think of the body still to come down. As for the oil pan.....the crossmember has been modified to allow it to fit. So when you put the motor and trans in the body was on blocks or something to hold it up to allow it fit or something.
EpicenterDesigns Posted March 7, 2008 Author Report Posted March 7, 2008 It was on the stock front body mounts. They have since been sectioned and lowered and the body channled onto the rails some. So it makes since that the tranny tunnel will have to be modified.
