BigPimpin91 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 cheers chaps, the orions are fookin heavy, eat power for breakfast and look generally menacing. they sound, well, very good for a woofer of their genre! once worn in they sound very very smooth on the bottom and still maintain hard hitting 40hz in my particular cab. i fcukin love em! i really do! they broke my car and they make me laugh! what more do u want! the 12.2 needs about 3k to get it to peak in my cabs, i can't keep up with the power supply! 147.7db PD @ 30hz. thats 2x 12.2HCCA's 4x USAmps MD2D @ 2ohm 800wrms rated each @ 14.4v (3200wrms over all rated). on play, voltage will drop to 12.8v. on a burp 13.2v. Then he reduces port area from there to drop tuning to mid 20's. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif close dude, but no cigar i'm affraid bigp91 both ports open 32hz ish one port open 21hz ish loads pretty hard each side of tuning so my Q is nice n low in both incarnations. i am not the sort of person that would ever tune a vent, on a subwoofer cab, to cut off at 40hz? essey u crazy mang? i'm so upset that u think that of me, that i'm now crying. infact i've cried so hard that my family has been washed away in the subsequent river of tears and it's all your fault! i've only tuned at 40 or above for spl only cabs. i can't stand high tuning as the Q is high n peaky. yeah its loud, but i'd rather be less loud and stay flat down to the ELF's safe, Henry Live, eat, breath low frequency reproduction.
