2010gmc
Well my box would be hard to fiberglass without taking it apart, so is probably just build another one. Can anyone tell what gauge my wire is? And also does the size of the wire from the amp to the sub matter very much?
Quiet
no it wouldn't. right where you have that foam in the box, lift that up, lay down some fiberglass mat and coat with resin. It'll dry really hard and should hold it all together pretty well. You can pick up enough stuff to do that little job at walmart for less than $20. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. Quiet
Your power wire looks like 8 gauge from the outside. Just look on the jacket for the print, should say about every foot or so. And your speaker wire looks like 16 gauge, which is fine for a couple hundred watts. If you upgrade subs I'd bump up to 12 or 10 depending on the power you plan on sending it. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. 2010gmc
Fiberglassing the recessed areas is not a bad idea but there already a right fit with the magnet of the sub

Quiet
get a pack of modeling clay and fill the pocket. Mount the sub and you can see exactly how much room you need. 1/4" should do nicely. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
