Doing small mods here and there to my dad's ranger and gf's kia sephia.

First is the ranger. My grandpa bought it in this condition. Then, it was passed down to my dad. Now, I can do a little work to it. =)

There was a 5 1/4" speaker on each door...

1. Who the fuck does this?

2. What can I do to the panels to kind of make this look...normal?

Then there's the sephia. Just looks like heat and age got to it. Same questions. Can I fix these things and is there a way to make it look sort of normal?

you can make a pod to bolt onto the door.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

those door panels you can add a trim ring for a 5 1/4 speaker and fiberglass it to the door panel and make it look stock so you wont have to see that bullshit....but that dash, you can fix it but imo it wnt be worth the time to fix it. Might as well just buy another one and call it a day less u just have time and money and want to learn how to do it. Then by all means do that shit. Itll be a good learning experience messing with glass but dnt expect it to come out perfect, glassing isn't hard but it isn't easy either.

whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah

I am dumb as a stump. I live in the south and we are all dumb here.

Do either of you have pictures that would give me a rough view of something simple I could do for the truck?

As for the car, I've found a replacement for the bezel, but no luck on the dash where the defrost vents and instrument cluster trim is. That's the ugliest part. The orange foam showing...shit that's ugly.

look at my build log. I attached wood rings to the metal of the door. then you screw your fiberglass pod onto the rings, and your speaker onto the pod. I'd put pics here but im busy.

Nice, I see what you're talking about, but I don't follow your assembly in the pics. You're saying that you have a wood ring behind and in front of the panel?

By the way guys, I don't necessarily need a speaker there. I just wanted to cover it up. Whichever is easiest though.

its an audio site... you have to have a speaker there lol. but yes, there are rings on the door and you need a ring when you form your pod. then you just attach the pod to the rings on the door. mine needed to sandwich the plastic so I didn't have to cut them. you dont have to do that though.

This would be so much easier to comprehend with a cross-sectional view of those pods.

So, you have a ring in the pod. You're mounting the ring in the pod to the ring in the door, sandwiching the panel? What purpose does the ring on the door have?

its just so you can take the pod on and off whenever you need to, fairly easily.
