The gain controls on the AUX input are there so that it can be matched with the main input, similar to Pioneer's SLA, you can just use the master volume to increase the voltage of the signal sent to the amp. The output voltage of the EQ is specified to 7 Volt so set everything carefully so that you are sure sending a clean signal to the amps.
