Tnop Posted July 17, 2013 Report Share Posted July 17, 2013 I recently bought 4 creshendo pwx 6.5 speakers they will be powered by a creshendo 1100.4 amp and i will be running them for my front stage but i am having problems with clarity i can not get it to sound right i currently have 2 of the four speakers hooked up. Bump4life Posted July 17, 2013 Report Share Posted July 17, 2013 those speakers dont play everything. you need tweeters with those. and you need crossover points set correctly. especially with a PA driver. set a Low pass filter on them around 4500 hz or possibly down to 3500 hz depending on how low your tweets can go. Bump4life Posted July 17, 2013 Report Share Posted July 17, 2013 sounds like your crossovers arent set right or you are over driving speakers. this all comes down to how loud you listen to your music and what tone you like. but start with your crossovers at: LPF (if applicable) : at 4500hz HPF: 80hz see how that sounds. make adjustments from there. to get smaller PA style speakers to sound good I HIGHLY reccommend running active. with bandpass filters.
