I wanted to try out the new x12 but don't think I have enough room in the trunk. So I found a post when I searched that suggested .5 sealed and 1 ported with like 50hz tune. Has anyone played around with 4th orders and the sa8v2s? Any help would be appreciated. I will be running saz1200 at 1ohm. Goal is best sounding and response I can get. DylanBunch Posted July 21, 2013 Report Posted July 21, 2013 I don't have experience with those subs but a rule of thumb for 4th orders seems to be, the lower the ported to sealed ratio (1:1) the better bandwidth but less output, higher the ratio (3:1 3 ported, sealed 1) the more output but less bandwidth. A lot of people do 2:1 and port wise, id go somewhere like 45-50hz with 16-18" of port per foot.
