Isn't the plastic mount to help keep the speaker dry? Haven't got enough courage to fiberglass the door panels yet, but I wouldn't glass them for a pair of 8" mids. 2 or 3 pairs I would have no choice. Window/magnet problems?

How well is the performance when they are down there firing right into the seat with the seat blocking the way to your ear? RidingTooLow Posted July 23, 2013 Author Report Posted July 23, 2013 Well on the trailblazer doors there is alot of room I could glass at least 2 8s into without the seat blocking sound. I think alot of those vehicles with the speakers all in the doors and facing the seat are mostly for demos and such, with the doors open. However, with that many mids and tweets inside a vehicle, it's going to be loud no matter what they are pointing at. My opinion anyway.
87chevyboi Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 best bet is to just make a pod and attach it to the door that way u dont have to fiberglass your whole door if your not comfortable with it yet, as far as mounting them in the pocket for the 6.5 i think it wouldnt be worth it imo. Just take ur time and fiberglass some pods and do it that way, itll sound way better and you can say u done it My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. I live in the south and we are all dumb here.
