Keveeno Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 Just got my aftermarket alternator in from Ohio generator. The alt will do 160 at idle and ramp up to 320 at full tilt. I have a 0 gauge run that will be installed between the alt and the front battery. It had occurred to me that the 300 amp anl fuse probably won't be big enough, or will it? At 5000 rims, the alt will start to put out over 300 amps to the first battery. Any suggestions? I am using the kolossus fleks cable ofc. The cable is rated for 300 amps if that changes anything.

Agreene Posted July 23, 2013 Report Posted July 23, 2013 I would suggest installing another run of 0 gauge that's quite a bit of amperage for 1 run... and fuse both runs with a 300 amp fuse .... if not bump up to 350 on the single or stay as is...
