Needing Real Life Experience for Router Lift/Table

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am looking for some suggestions. I have this craftsmen router table with the craftsmen router that came with it:

It gets the job done, but is a huge PITA to change bits on because I have to lift the table to get the router out otherwise it hits the bench below it and you can't sneak a wrench in there to do it from under, so basically I am looking for some suggestions on a nice router table/lift. Or really options/suggestions on what people have found the most useful.

Here is the one I have been looking at:

It is going to run about $650 for that table, lift, the inserts for the center for larger bits, and casters. I like the idea of having casters to move around the garage because I don't have a "shop" other than the extra stall in my garage so being able to move it out of the way would be great. But really looking for some suggestions and experiences people have with these tables/lifts or if you know a better solution.
