i dont think they are a good woofer for t lines due to their T/S parameters. they hit all the notes just fine in a regular ported box

kool well i will probably just settle on building a good ported box for it then....since im lazy, you got any ported box plans for a DD1510 tuned at 33 hz? i dont need a cut sheet, maybe a sketchup with the dimensions on it...thanks!

theres box plans on DD's website...its 1.5 cubes and somewhere between 36-40hz,i did a port length calculation and came up with 36.somethin but im probably wrong...would u say those are decent plans or would going down to 33hz make a difference at all? heres the link to it http://www.ddaudio.com/sites/default/files/media/products/dd_boxes/full_size_box_plans/10_inch/10_full_size.pdf

you should not tune so low, tune to 37-40 hz and if you really want to get sub 30 hz, then just put a port insert in. DD dont play low low well with a lot of port. at least from my tests. 1.5 - 2 cubes net after displacement should be good depending how much pwoer you are runningt o it

thanks for the reply bump4life...i ordered that soundstream 580 rms amp so the sub will be getting around 550 or so watts...so lets say i go with a 1.75- 2 cubic foot box at 35-37 hz...what would the dimensions of the box be? and port length? thanks

I told you 1.75 cubes net tuned to 37-40 with 15-17 sq in port per cube. Do you need me to do all the math for you?

Download Torres box calc or bass box pro or win isd . All good box building programs. Or just draw it out on paper. LxWxH in in he's / 1728 will give you cubic feet of your box
