randyman78596 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Report Posted August 19, 2013 3rd post of this thread says its going in a 2006 ford explorer...does 65" width sound like it would be a good box to put in an explorer?? thanks for the talk man but, Joe already helped me out and i really appreciate it.box is built and sounds great for the music i wanted it for.tnx Joe
Bump4life Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 joe x is a good guy helps a lot of people with box designs. but im sure he has much more experience with DD than me and you not being here for a while wouldn't know that. if you want me to designs you a box for your car. send me a PM with vechicle, electrical, amp, sub, future plans to upgrade sub, music you want to play max dimensions youd want box to be. If that box you have has less than 24 sq inch of port, i wouldnt use it unless you are tuned low for decaf. if you are going for spl or a higher daily tune you should have 24-32 sq inches especially for a 10 in such a big car. cause with DD the cabin gain you get in open cabin SUV is huge and the lows come alive. let me know if you want someone with DD experience to help you. Ds2510 Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Sorry to bring up an old thread but I had a question as well about a DD2510 dual 4 ohm that I have wired down to 1ohm and connected to a brutus brx1100.1 amp. I wanted to know what would you guys recommend for an enclosure size to get the most bass out of? I was going to use the DD recommendations but 1.5 cubic volume and 40 hz seems too low to get good power out of this sub. I have 43" W x 15"H x 38" D1 x 28"D2 space to play with but I rather use just half so I can be able to use my trunk. Also I was looking at the compact box enclosures that DD has on their website, have any of you ever used one or know if they are as good?
