prius deck install?

Hey guys so my grandma wants an aftermarket deck in her 2004 prius and I have some questions. upon reading more on the internet some say you have to leave the stock deck because an error code will pop up on the computer. someone said to put a 68 ohm resistor on the harness. has anyone ever installed a deck in a prius?? really need some tips

Thanks, yeah ive been reading but every one says something different. I feel like it would be really weird to leave a non working component such as the stock radio in the dash
