reg93f150 Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 check all wiring.. ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
yotamatt Posted August 8, 2013 Author Report Posted August 8, 2013 Everythings good...all connections tight..4 guage everything. ..maybe one amp cuts out below a certain voltage where the other doesnt?
reg93f150 Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 make sure your rcas are getting a good connection.. if you think it's voltage issues.. install a volt meter and see what's going on.. most amps dont kick off unless they go really low voltage.. dunno about memphis though ALL CREDIT TO XX1 FOR DC BANNER down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups strapping 2 amps together ? like bolting them next together? using bungy cables to hold them down? or wiring separate amps to each sub
Pioneerchuck Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Just get a DMM and check voltage and impedance at the amp to make sure you're not running the amp at too low of an impedance. Check all your grounds, check your RCAs, remote wire, and make sure you're not clipping.Once you do all that you should have a better idea of whats going on.
Brandon Bebo Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 I had this dame issue! But with kicker amps an my 4 channel would kick out at a loud volume then come on when I turned it down.. but it was refurbished with a warranty... I got a replacement and I haven't had the issue yet. Could be something faulty withe the amp. I didn't feel like tinkering with it because of the warranty. But it was probably a bad cap or a loose solder.
MACnonsence6 Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 are your amps screwed to the box? check the remote wires conection on the amp and then both sides of your ground wires. i just had a similar problem I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
yotamatt Posted August 9, 2013 Author Report Posted August 9, 2013 Amps are mounted to rear wall of truck. .behind back seat of a tacoma..everything checks out fine...the memphis amp is a refurbished amp tho...ill get the audio shop who I got it from to check it out
MACnonsence6 Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 refurb isnt bad if its factory that means something fucked up and it got fixed right so shouldnt have any more problems. if the shop wants to charge you mad money id go threw and check all your conections I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today.
