jonathancullen89 Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 alright my parents are cosigning a loan for my brother to get a new car, he skipped half of school today and went and found a blazer. im not sure of the year but he wants me to put a decent system in it and try and make it as cheap as possible. i will be building a box and installing everything for him, he isnt a bass head like me so two subs should be plenty for him. so depending how much money he will let me blow of his there will be two of the 12" listed. so which would be better? box will be ported, tuned somewhere between 32-38 depending on the sub/power. from my thoughts the cvr is more of an spl sub, the type r and vmax are more musical, and the p3 is 50/50. im not sure, i had p2's a while back and liked em, but for this suv i want it to be loud. since all of my cars are dying i am going to mess with his now also i had another thought, for the price i would pay for two of these subs i could get an 18" ssd, so how would that compare? thanks guys n gals!~ John 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-

tacomabanga1986 Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 vmax ftw , i had a set of 12's downfirein in my truck and they out sounded my 15's by quit a bit i hate to say and it was a prefab box , ied get the vmax's the ones i had was the ones with the red surround and they wanged but make sure u tune it low cause i had one ina prefab ported box tuned to 45htz and it sounded like shit but in the sealed box i had it wanged, ied try a sealed box with the vmax's and see what u get and then try ported around 34htz and the sq and bass is quite awesome, ima halfto pick up a set of 15'' vmax's sometime and at the deal i got my 12's for i shouldn't of sold em, i got both of em in damn nere prefect condition for $50 for both i was like shitt when i hooked em up to my memphis 1000.1, i say go with a memphis pr1000.1d and 2 vmax 12's ported to around 34htz and he wont be dissapointed ps. the xmax on the vmax is alot imo, i sware the only sub i had that out did it was my rf punch hx2's 12's but then again those vmax's sounded alot better, hope this helps u on ur quest, a memphis pr 1000 can be had for cheap on www.woofersect.com thats were i got mine from and they got good costomer service and are trustworthy, u'll get it when they say no more than 2days later if that and u can get the vmax's there to and they'ed match up perfect cosmeticly heres a link to the vmax, http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3507 and the amp, http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=5642 its the newer version of it but puts out teh same as older one but i got mine for $300shipped here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
