iwannabeloud Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Does anybody have any experience with one or clamped one? I'm wondering if they do the rated 2900rms at 12v @ 1ohm. I don't put images in my signature to let people know I mean business.
audiofanaticz Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 no, that is a misprint on their website, and goes along with a few of their amps. and they havent fixed it in a few years. accoding to american bass's website the 150.1 is stronger then the 200.1 iirc, or damn close.. That just dont make sense since the higher the number the bigger the number. The 150.1s are a 2200wrms amp @ 1ohm. it requires a 200amp fuse, not a 300amp fuse like every real 3000wrms amp would, and like the 200.1 requires. It uses the same board as the audioque 2200 and a few others, i think one of the hifonics is similar too. The 200.1s are a 3000wrms amp @ 1ohm. Ive owned pairs of both amps (150.1 and 200.1s). They are strong reliable amps that take abuse well and then some. They do rated power, but just not what is publised on their website, maybe Bob is on a peak ratings thing now, or dynamic power rating.. No idea, but yea, its a 2200wrms amp and his specs are getting more misleading every day like sonys 4 channel 120000000 watt amp! lulz
