Title pretty much says it all.... Im playing around with torres for a wall design and then plugging it in on win isd to see the frequency response and Im wondering how accurate it is. I know it changes once its in the car but something I noticed is, ive heard a good general rule of port per foot is 12-18" higher being peaky, lower being flat, but with my x 18 parameters in, I just noticed that once I went from walls around 16" port per foot to 19" port per foot, it peaked at the same frequency (42hz) but 3db higher, yet had an f3 lower (not by much, maybe 1-2hz) technically making me louder with a better frequency range. Is this something I should take advantage of or should I be skeptical? Because once I build a box ( hopefully sooner than later ) I don't know when ill have money to buy wood for another wall.

Its fairly accurate, but as you said vehicle cabin gains will change output and response a great deal.

Also it is worth noting with WinISD you are inputing the woofers T/S specs (or at least some of the main ones) which would give you a much better idea of response unlike torres.

Torres is a great program, its simple to use, and great for that diy person that wants to try to get his hands dirty, but if you know winisd and understand what your doing in it, your going to be better off on your enclosure most the time due to the more advanced features it has to offer.

well mainly what im doing with torres is to just making the box to see the port specs since win isd, or atleast my version doesn't say port specs. But right now I have 10.68cbft @ 32.35hz with 208" of port and 19.48" port per foot. On win isd its saying f3 of almost exactly 27hz and peaking at 43hz at 6.24db gain.... im digging it
