In that case id probably brace it somehow. possibly dampen it a little. And ye i couldnt find any better wood to use so i just bought a big ass piece of it. It actually sounds pretty good. Got a 15" neodymium sub in it, pushing like 1600 watts. the damn terminal rattles though. need to fix that, it gets annoying.

Yea after hearing all these opinions I think in gonna just cut a 18×16 piece of mdf glue it on top of the sub hole and cut the hole. Will the change in sub displacement change the box tuning? Its tuned to 38hz right now
